Community Guidelines

Yevedo works when clients can trust the people they hire and providers can trust they will be paid. These guidelines are the rules for everyone using the platform, on top of our Terms of Service.

The short version: be honest, be respectful, keep payments on Yevedo.

1. Be who you say you are

  • Use your real name and a photo of yourself, not a logo or a stock image. Company accounts can use the company logo.
  • List only skills, diplomas and experience you actually have. Work samples must be your own work, or clearly credited.
  • One account per person. Don't create a new account to get around a suspension or a bad review.
  • Don't share your account or let someone else work under your name.

2. Post real jobs, send real proposals

Clients: describe the work, the budget and the deadline as they really are. Don't post jobs to collect free samples, to recruit for something else, or to test prices.

Providers: apply to jobs you can do. Copy-pasting the same proposal to dozens of jobs gets noticed, by clients and by us.

Both: if the scope changes, use the change request in the contract so the price and the date follow.

3. Keep the work and the money on Yevedo

Asking someone to pay you directly, by bank transfer, mobile money or any other way, for a job found on Yevedo is not allowed. Neither is sharing your phone number or social media in a proposal to move the conversation elsewhere.

It's also the first sign of a scam. If anyone asks you to pay outside Yevedo, to pay a "registration fee" to get a job, or to send them a code you received by SMS, stop and report them. Yevedo staff will never ask for your password or verification codes.

4. Treat people with respect

Disagreeing about a deliverable is normal. Insulting someone over it is not. We remove content and accounts that:

  • harass, threaten or intimidate someone, including repeated messages after they asked you to stop;
  • attack people for their ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age;
  • send sexual messages or images, or make sexual advances, in a work conversation;
  • publish someone's personal information without their consent;
  • threaten a bad review to get a discount or extra work.

Clients may not refuse a provider, or set different terms, because of a protected characteristic.

5. Work we don't allow

You can't use Yevedo to offer or request:

  • anything illegal where the client or the provider is located;
  • sexual services, adult content or escort work;
  • weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods or stolen items;
  • academic cheating: taking exams, writing graded work to be submitted as someone else's;
  • fake reviews, fake followers or fake engagement for any platform;
  • fake documents, identity papers or diplomas;
  • hacking, malware, account takeover or access to someone else's data;
  • money transfers, "investment" schemes or recruitment for pyramid schemes;
  • anything that sexualizes or exploits children. See our Child Safety Standards.

6. Jobs done in person

Many jobs on Yevedo happen at someone's home or business: repairs, cleaning, beauty, tutoring, events. A few habits keep everyone safe:

  • Agree on the address, the time and the scope in the Yevedo chat before the visit, so there is a record.
  • Tell someone where you are going when you go to a new client.
  • Clients: an adult must be present when work is done in a home where children live.
  • Providers: respect the client's property and privacy. Don't take photos of the inside of someone's home except what's needed for the job, and with their agreement.
  • If you feel unsafe, leave and contact local emergency services first. Then tell us.

7. Reviews

Write about the contract you just finished, and nothing else. Don't trade reviews, pay for them, or ask friends to leave them. Don't use a review to reveal personal details about the other person. If a review about you is false or abusive, report it. We don't remove reviews just because they are negative.

8. How to report something

Email support@yevedo.com with the name of the account, a link or a screenshot of the job, profile or message, and a short description. The person you report is not told who reported them.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services before contacting us.

9. What happens when the rules are broken

We look at what happened, how serious it is and whether it's the first time. Depending on that, we may:

  • send a warning;
  • remove the job, proposal, review or message;
  • limit some features, such as applying or withdrawing, for a period;
  • suspend or permanently close the account;
  • hold funds linked to fraud until the matter is settled;
  • report the case to the police or the competent authorities.

Scams, threats of violence and anything involving the exploitation of a child lead to an immediate and permanent ban. If you think we made a mistake, reply to the email we sent you and a different team member will look at it again.
